This is my Maka cosplay from Soul Eater that I wore to SMASH. It was a bit of a rush job considering I'm not meant to be spending much time on other costumes aside from my WCS one atm. xDDD It's been a long time since I've done a st vinnies cosplay, but this was just freaking GREAT LUCK on my part. The skirt I was so happy to find, I had to alter it a bit as it was too big & also way too long, but I was really happy to find on in that fabric style, which the clostest you can possibly get without making it yourself, especially in aus. The vest vinnies again & the shirt was recycled & altered from DGM, I mad ethe sleeves puffier like Maka's. The jacket I had already, but it was too big on me since i lost weight, so I brought it in HEAPS!!! Then I bought a pair of size 18 pants made from similar fabric & cut them up, to make the long tails on the ends of the jacket, to get the length hers has. The cuffs I made from pleather as my lovely yet evil *
Cattypatra needed my white for our wcs costumes & of course they take priority & I didn't have time to buy anything else soooo close to the con. I made them detachable, so if I have time I can change them over to be more accurate. They thankfully look pretty good. The buttons I made, which made me happy, they're soo cute with their little crosses, I'm glad I had time for that. The boots I ruined my old platforms for, but whos cares, I love killing shoes for cosplay xDDD & they were cheap. xD
I was really surprised people recognised me, esspecially since the series is quite recent. SO YAY!!!! It made me happy to be recognised & have so many fans. I had girls chasing me up the stairs for photos. xD
SMASH was so busy it took forever for me to find Tom & get him to give me a spare moment so that we could actually get a photo of our costumes together. FSUK YEAH SKINNER!!!
